Erasmus has a plan for the final leg of their tour in Wales, but it involves a significantly reduced squad. Due to the game falling outside the World Rugby player release window, he'll be crossing the Irish Sea with only a fraction of his usual team.
The likes of Thomas du Toit and Boan Venter, who dominated the Irish scrum in their recent win, must return to their English and Scottish clubs. Some players will also be absent due to commitments with Japanese clubs, and Erasmus feels obliged to honor these requests. The Japanese helped South Africa earlier in the month, so it's a matter of reciprocity. When asked about the number of players missing in Wales, Erasmus revealed a list of names, including Grant Williams, who must return to the Sharks.

Despite these challenges, Erasmus remains focused on their goal. He modestly stated in Dublin, "Our aim this year was to try and end in the top four." The Springboks have retained their Rugby Championship title and won an impressive 11 out of 13 Test matches.

"We have used 50 players this year, and next year it can be more experimental," he explained.
