Tanner Fletcher's Fall 2026 Collection: A Tale of Love and Cabin Fever
Love is in the air for Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, but the fashion world is abuzz with another announcement from the brand.
The beloved couple-cum-design duo has recently announced their engagement, marking a new chapter in their lives and careers. In a preview from their Chelsea studio, Kasell humorously revealed, "We've been together for 10 years, so it's about time!" The proposal, a romantic moment under the Washington Square arch, was straight out of a Nora Ephron movie. Kasell couldn't contain his emotions, admitting, "I was like ugly crying."
However, while love blossoms, Tanner Fletcher is also experiencing a different kind of fever - the fever of innovation and change. For their Fall 2026 collection, the brand is launching a new tier called "Cabin Wear," a nod to the nostalgia of the Midwest and the comfort of Americana. This line is a bold move, akin to Polo Ralph Lauren's recent presentation in Milan, where the brand broke its own rules by showcasing both Polo and Purple Label together.
"We're trying to hit every mark because our customers want the lifestyle," explained Kasell. The "Cabin Wear" collection draws inspiration from the idea of what their dads might have worn while hunting or fishing, with flannels, denim, and chore jackets layered with higher-end pieces. Leitmotifs like mallards and ducks appear as tiny antique pins on collection suits and are woven into Cabin Wear sweaters in shades reminiscent of J. Crew's viral Fair Isle crewneck.
Despite some naysayers calling it "emasculating," Tanner Fletcher isn't afraid to blur gender lines. The brand's signature femininity shines through in their limited-edition evening looks, such as a black velvet gown with whipped cream ruffles, a nod to Man Ray's Le Violon d'Ingres. Similar to J. Crew and Ralph Lauren, Tanner Fletcher taps into the comforts of Americana, and the Cabin Wear model will allow them to explore it in many facets, perhaps even delving into athletic wear next. Let's just hope they come up with a better name than "Gym Wear."
But here's where it gets controversial... Is Tanner Fletcher's new direction a smart move, or is it a step too far? Do you think the brand can successfully navigate the blurred gender lines and still maintain its unique identity? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
